Boca Raton, Fla., – February 27, 2013—Bluegreen Corporation (“Bluegreen Vacations”), a leading vacation ownership marketing, sales and hospitality company today announced that the resort staff at its Orlando, Fla. property The Fountains donated 1208 non-perishable items to the Coalition of the Homeless. “It was a great time had by all,” said Marta Santo, Human Resources Generalist for The Fountains. “In our morning meeting I had three individuals provide testimonials as to their experience and take away from this volunteer experience. The entire staff was commended and appreciated for their efforts with the food drive which made the experience even that much more impactful.”
Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida has grown from a church outreach program to a full-service agency, which now provides food, shelter, housing options, education, advocacy, support services, comprehensive children’s services and case management; all focusing on offering the tools to return homeless people to self-sufficiency. The Coalition is the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida. It is the largest residential facility for children in Central Florida and one of only a few emergency shelters in Orange County that accepts intact families. On a given night, 32 percent of those served are children. Their average age is 8.
