Williamsburg, Virginia

Experience life as the colonists lived it

As part of the Historic Triangle that corners with Jamestown and Yorktown, Williamsburg, Virginia, offers old and new attractions, from historic Williamsburg to Busch Gardens®. At historic Williamsburg you’ll interact with actors portraying colonists living their everyday lives in a settlement. You’ll actually see the 18th century through the eyes of 18th-century residents.

A charming city, Williamsburg offers museums, historic parks and community events. It also provides award-winning wineries, excellent dining and ample nightlife. Nearby Busch Gardens® and Water Country USA® are located on the outskirts of Williamsburg, and provide days of fun for friends and family. Williamsburg Outlet Mall and Williamsburg Prime Outlets offer good shopping.

The rest of the Triangle, Yorktown and Jamestown, offer more historic sites and museums. Jamestown is the site of the first permanent English settlement in North America, and contains excellent museums and children’s museums that are not only educational, but hands-on and entertaining. Yorktown is known for its position in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Visit the Yorktown Battlefield where General Cornwallis surrendered to General Washington, and then browse the shops, cafes and restaurants.
