Folly Beach is nearby and contains ample space for fishing, surfing, bird watching, dolphin watching and one of the longest piers on the east coast. Isle of Palms County Park offers more oceanfront activities, such as volleyball or kayaking. Kiawah Island is 25 miles south, and offers one of the country’s most serene beaches.
